this is presumably public domain, as it is here. it's free for all to use as they see fit! Enjoy!

as stated below, "One small step..." is from Apollo 11, not Apollo 13...

While the sound quality of this recording is good, you can find many more recordings of conversations between various space missions and ground control by looking here:

Subject: Usage
Hi, I'm researching for a short-film in England and would like to know whether/how we might use this clip. It's been recommended to me to ask this question via a review and I'd be really grateful for some advice. Thanks in advance!

Subject: Sentence Pertains to APOLLO 11 Mission -- NOT Apollo 13
Apollo 13 is the wrong mission. Neil Armstrong became first man on the Moon during the APOLLO 11 mission [[NOT 13]]. His sentence: "That's one small step for (a) man, one giant leap for mankind," came as he set foot on Moon. As for the APOLLO 13 mission, it was the MOVIE "Apollo 13" that made another sentence famous: "Houston, we have a problem." BUT that's in the movie script ONLY, where it was slightly changed. APOLLO 13 commander James Lovell's REAL words were, "Houston, we've had a problem."
